TECTONIC has upcoming full-time positions available for Case Management Specialists to work based out of our Farmingdale, NY workspace on recovery projects for Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Irene, and Tropical Storm Lee. The Case Management Specialists will be responsible to work with applicants to assemble the required information to issue awarded amounts for the cases.

Essential Functions

The essential functions of this position will include: • Communicate and coordinate with applicants to gain required application information and assist them in applying for assistance; • Review submitted documentation in comparison with the eligibility criteria, and submit the required information to the Case Manager supervisor; • Obtain approval to issue awarded amounts in accordance with the budgets/finance requirements of the projects; • All other special projects and duties as assigned.


Candidates must possess the following qualifications: • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience; • A minimum of 1 year of work experience; case management experience is a plus; • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral & written communication skills; • Must be professional, detail-oriented and have the strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (including formulas and report building), and PowerPoint, as well as have a working knowledge of web-based file systems; • Flexible schedule to accommodate early morning, evening, and weekend work as needed; availability is required Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 7 pm. Physical Requirements In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the candidate must be able to constantly assume a stationary position, and must utilize equipment to perform necessary tasks, sometimes repetitively. The candidate must be able to occasionally maneuver within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and may exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. Frequently, they must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others via the Corporate e-mail system and telephone system, and in person.
